Day One
Arrival at Leh
Day Two
Lower Indus Valley Sightseeing
Have a relaxed breakfast at the hotel. Embark on half-day sightseeing tour of Leh visiting Sangam (confluence of Indus & Zanskar Rivers), Magnetic Point, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Kali Mata (Temple of Guardians in Spituk monastery) & Hall of Fame. Explore local Leh bazaars in the evening and purchase some gifts for your near and dear ones. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day Three
Leh - Khardung-La Pass - Nubra Valley
Have a very hearty breakfast at the hotel. Drive towards Nubra Valley driving passing through the Khardung-La Pass (the highest motorable pass in the world – alt: 18,380 ft). After descending from the pass, drive on for sightseeing of Sumoor Area. Later you’ll check-in at a fixed camp in the same area or drive across the Diskit for overnight stay in a camp.
Day Five
Leh - Pangong Lake
Have a relaxed breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Pangong Lake located on the boarder of India and China, passing through Changla pass 5486 Mtrs. While ascending Changla pass. See the beautiful view of the villages below the pass. After crossing the pass, halt for picnic lunch at Tso Ltak, the summer pastureland of the yaks. Arrive Durbuk and from there a short drive takes you to the western shore of the Pangong Lake. Enjoy the scenery in the surroundings of the Lake. One rarely feels so close to nature and environment and the scenery is extraordinary. Spend evening at leisure seeing superb beauty of nature. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the camp near the lake.
Day Seven
Leh - Chumathang - Tso moriri Lake
After an early breakfast depart from Tso Moriri Lake (alt: 15,000 ft.) driving through Chumathang (hot water springs), Mahe and Puga Sumdo. Tsomoriri Lake (28 km long & about 8 km wide) is the breeding ground of many migratory birds including the rare bar-headed geese. Enjoy birding at Tso moriri Lake. Don’t forget to take snaps of rare species of birds. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the camp or guest house near Tso moriri Lake or Korzok.
Day Eight
Tso Moriri - Tsokar - Taglangla - Leh
Take breakfast and then retrace the route down to Puga Sumdo and then follow the road across the Pologongka Pass to visit the picturesque Tsokar Lake. Tsokar Lake is a beautiful salt lake system in Rupshu Plateau. After sightseeing around the lake, drive back to Leh. Enroute visit Thiksey Monastery and Shey Palace. Check-in at the hotel on arrival in Leh. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day Nine
Departure
Today early morning our driver will transfer you to the Leh Airport in time, where you will board flight back to your home / onward destination.
